imagine living in a time when fashion was fresh and
 art was...art.
would you take yourself back to the community and lifestyle that was: Andy Warhol?

or do you have more admiration, and take more inspiration from
    his work in
the modern world?

....if you can't be an artist - be a muse

OH EM GEE..I feel like everyone is talking/blogging/eating/instagram’in about coconut oil. What many of you, I believe, don’t know is that it’s actually chock-full of saturated fat which usually equate to artery-clogging cholesterol and kilojoules. The National Heart foundation believes that the research on the health benefits of coconut oil is inconclusive and is pretty firm on not giving its tick of approval. Coconut oil is made up of around 90% saturated fat, 6% monounsaturated fat, and 2% polyunsaturated fat. 90% PEOPLE!! I mean would you eat an apple if you knew it contained 90% saturated fat? I believe the majority of coconut oil users have no idea about this and are hauling full steam ahead into an unhealthy habit of using this product too frequently.

Its not all bad. Differing from other highly saturated fats however, coconut oil is mostly made up of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). Eh? To ‘dumb’ it down, The special characteristics of coconut MCFA  means the body prefers to burn it for fuel rather than to store it. You might say that the body treats coconut fatty acids more like it does carbohydrates. Extra virgin cold pressed oil is best. Still, fat is fat!
Don’t be fooled I actually love coconut oil not only in cooking but as a body moisturiser and overnight hair mask. (Heat and massage through hair, leave overnight in a shower cap and wash thoroughly in the morning) Ah silky!

It’s food-type fad, lets be honest, and if you haven’t tried it you’re curious. It’s hard not to get all caught up in the hype when you’ve got skinny beautiful people telling you its good for you..and for one split second you think they’re good looks are linked to coconut oil..and if you eat coconut oil too you will look like err...Miranda Kerr? who is among other celebs famous for their proclamations of greatness for coconut products.

But Remember when eating MODERATION is the key.

5 things to get you through monday..

1. pretend its thursday

2. organise a hump-day dinner..loving the coles website for ideas atm -
    http://recipes.coles.com.au

3. send your friend/BF a freakin' stupid joke
(eg. why did the cucumber go out with the prune?..coz he couldn't find a date)
it could start a stream of sms-type jokes for the remainder of the day, usually ending in
a racial/blonde or dirty theme, lets be honest..you can use the good ones as pick up
lines - not kidding I have made many friends with the help of a joke..everyone
   loves a funny kid

4. have a 10 min nap on the toilet to get you through the arvo..don't be like that, we've

5. wear your favourite party shirt. I always say 'you feel how you look'..if your clothes are
crazy fun people will focus on your shirt and won't notice the wkend-related bags
